Paul Hyde learned to sail and navigate on the waters off Martha’s Vineyard. His marine career started at Coastwise Wharf Company, where he served aboard the Square Tops’l Schooner Shenandoah and as dockmaster of Coastwise Wharf. When he was just nineteen years old he became a USCG  licensed Master of Auxiliary Sailing Vessels. While earning his business management degree at U Mass, he brokered yachts,  and in 1987 he joined the warranty dept at Boston Whaler. When Boston Whaler moved its headquarters to Florida in 1991, Paul signed on with E&B Marine, which eventually merged with West Marine. It was there he discovered the demand for training in the rapidly changing field of marine electronics, and Yachting Enterprises was formed.  Today, Yachting Enterprises remains a small family run company that specializes in making marine technology easy to understand, so you can spend more time enjoying your boat.
